She is starting to rebuild her confidence of walking on her own. I was so happy to see her attempt to take a few more steps by herself. We had a cool day today. I’m teaching her math with this Math kit from Glen Dorman of Gentle Revolution. I started working with the kit a few weeks ago but for some reason got a little off track so we are basically starting from the beginning again.

I’m so happy she’s intrigued by the little red dots on the cards they provide. After each session we clap and I give her a great big hug. Sometimes she already starts to clap just before I put the cards away. We also played a few games and I sung some nursery rhymes to her and read her touch and feel cliford book to her. Nyla took her nap afterwards and upon waking up; she had her lunch and we went out to pick up dinner. Plus I was looking for this bowl and utensil set I could purchase to keep her from throwing her spoon on the floor when she eats. Blah they didn’t carry it at Toys r us I guess I have to make a trip to babies r us to pick it up. I was very pleased to see her finally eat all her food on her own even though she don’t use her spoon much. It’s funny cause she would start off her meal with her spoon and end up just using her hands. I know it’s a process and as long as she’s self feeding and learning to master her skills, I don’t mind the BIG clean up afterwards.

For dinner, she finally had grown up food. I made some sweet potatoes, collard greens and chicken fillet. She enjoyed her meal. I wiped her down afterwards and read her a story “The Fluffy Chick” and put on her Lullaby CD thinking she would whine down and fall alseep but for some reason she was fussy instead. I guess she just wanted me to hold her so I did just that till I felt it was time for her to really get some sleep so I ended up putting her in her crib and just let her cry herself to sleep. That didn’t last long cause she was knocked out within 10 minutes. The puddin is now peacefully asleep with Ruff Ruff snugly under her arms.

Be well….
