Just when I thought the days of Nyla wanting to lay on me was over…. I was caught by surprise:-). Normally I pull Nyla’s head towards my chest so she can lay on me like she did during her earlier months. The day she pushed away was the day I knew my baby became independent. So it truly surprised me today when Nyla kept laying on me to the point where she actually fell asleep on me. I haven’t felt her lay on me or fall asleep on my chest since I stopped breast feeding her and she was about 9 – 10 months. I yearned for that feeling again. Of course being a first time Mommy, you just want to cherish every moment and for a second I thought that moment had passed. I love my snuggle bunny so much. The joy she brings us is just unmeasurable.

I know I said I would catch Nyla on video walking alone but, it seems ever since she took that little spill of hers, she reverted back into dependency. I’m just happy to know that she can actually do it on her own. She just can’t be afraid to fall on her little bottom.

All in all today was a good day for Nyla. She turned 14 months today! Nyla was fed, watched some of her favorite toons, napped, played with some of her toys and had one of her stories read to her before bedtime. Nyla is healthy, happy and as always joyful and playful. Peace and love
