Nyla Jade Simone has entered this world on January 24, 2007. She was presented to her parents, Sheniqua and Jason at 3:00pm at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital located in the Bronx. Although she was born premature and weighing in 4lbs 8oz, she only spent a week in the NICU. Nyla has a strong presence. She is a true blessing from up above. We are so greatful that god has presented us with such a gift. He has entrusted us with one of his own to care for and ensure that she is raised to become a woman of greatness and through Strength and Love that she will become.

Nyla is a joyful baby. There is not a day that she doesn’t make us smile or laugh at the little things she do. From her facial expressions to her infectious little laughs and from her babbling at her toys to giving hugs; she’s a happy baby. Nyla went from just laying around and eating, to crawling and learning to self feed. Now a year and a couple of months later, she’s mastering the skills of self feeding, cruising along, and well on her way to taking her first steps alone. Nyla knows a few signs and uses them meaningfully.

Nyla enjoys her toys; her favorites being her learning puppy we like to call “Brownie”, sing and discover toy piano, and her stuffed puppy that she sleeps with every night named “Ruff Ruff”. She also enjoys bath time. It’s her time to splash around in the tub and play with her little duckies. Watching her Baby Einstein DVD’s which you can’t turn her away from are also among her best. Spending time with mommy and daddy; being read to, learning, playing, bouncing to music and discovering is her most favorite pass time of all.
