SHE DID IT!!!! Nyla has finally gained back her confidence to walk on her own. It all started this morning when one of my closest friends stopped by to visit. She played with Nyla for a while and I gave her one of Nyla’s dolls to try to get her to walk on her own instead of grabbing fingers like she normally do lol. My dearest friend Sakinah got Nyla to start walking on her own again. Nyla walked from our hallway towards the bedroom and back to the kitchen area. She took spills here and there but she was no longer afraid to take her steps. THANKS SAKINAH 🙂

Later on in the evening I wanted to see if Nyla would still walk. To my surprise she did. First I lured her with her doll from her bedroom to our room. Then her Daddy took over from there so that I could capture her on video. I didn’t want to miss this moment. I caught some video footage earlier when Sakinah had her walking for 56 seconds I must add; so I just felt like I wanted more footage. Any mom knows you just can’t get enough of capturing your child’s most important milestones.

Moving along; just to recap her day. Nyla had a full day eating her banana pancakes, playing with Sakinah, trying to sing her ABC’s! Yes I said it and Sakinah heard it lol. Nyla was trying to sing her ABC’s with some letters coming out clear and others sounding jibberish. “SUPER WHY” ,one of her favorite shows and mommy’s attempt to put some rhythm in singing the alphabets is rubbing off on lil miss Nyla; Baby Einstein as my mom calls her. So moving along, we all went for a nice walk through Harlem (of course Nyla strolled along in her stroller) and after dropping Ki off we came home. She had her cheerio snacks, ate dinner, walked as you will see in the footage below and went to bed. She’s preparing for a full day tomorrow. Stay tuned guys!
