We do apologize for not keeping updates on Nyla’s site. Just some information to put you guys up to date as far as where darling Nyla is:

She’s been to the eye doctor being diagnosed with having browns syndrome. Although not very serious, it’s serious to us because she has to have eye surgery. For those who don’t know what brown syndrome is it’s basically a restriction in eye movement that causes one eye to move in a rather slower pace than the other. – don’t want to get completely in depth with it but that is somewhat what it is in a nutshell. She need the surgery because it’s at a point where it’s causing her blurred vision. So her eye levels need to be corrected. So we have been busy with that. Her surgery is next Tuesday so pray for her.

Other than that nyla is still potty training although we had to pause due to a diaper rash she ended up having but, today will be the continuation of that process. We are anticipating her first movement in her potty lol.


Last Saturday, Nyla went to Toys R Us Time Square for Barbies 50th birthday celebration. She enjoyed taking pictures with barbie, coloring and playing with her party hat. Afterwards, her and mommy went for lunch and came home. That was the end to a fun day.

Sunday was church day. She enjoyed the company of her auntie Aisha and uncle will along with Erdene whom adores her so much. After service Nyla enjoyed lunch at her Auntie Ki Ki’s restaurant where she had salmon, rice and vegetables. She had a cool day.

Tuesday was pre-op day. We took Nyla to see the eye doctor so he can see if there where any changes to her eye since last visit since we have to patch her. He gave us more info as far as her surgery and although we are not looking forward to it we know it’s something that will benefit her in the end.

Wednesday, was park day. Nyla had fun swinging with mommy on the big swings then she moved along to the baby swings where she could go a lil higher as mommy pushed her. Later on Auntie Tammy, Auntie Andria and cousin Marquel joined the fun in the park. She had a blast and even got a chance to bump into her Auntie Leah.

After the park it was time to hit the clothing store and supermarket then home. Nyla had her dinner, brushed her teeth and had her bedtime stories read to her and it was off to bed for the lil tyke.

Now today is Thursday and Nyla has a surprise for her eye patches. Since Nyla loves Dora so much and enjoy the Backyardigans mommy has decided to customize her patches for her using Dora and Backyardigans. Mommy want to make Nyla’s eye patch stylish and fun.
