Nyla’s First Crush

Today was truly interesting. Nyla went to her “Mother Goose Group” at the library and the first thing she did was run over to this little boy named Kenny and hugged him. I was totally shocked since Nyla has never done that before then when she finally let him go she started following him around. I must admit she has good taste lol; He’s such the little cutie. After she was done following little Kenny around the group played the alphabet game where there are a bunch of letters scattered on the floor and the children go around in a circle till the music stops. After the music stop they have to pick up a letter then say what it is. Of course the instructor helps the younger toddlers out. Then they played a game where they do all the movements the animals do. Nyla participated by doing some of the movement. She played a finger game then it was off to the reading room in a red wagon which was so cute. I’m usually the ultimate camera person but my camera phone is full and the battery to the regular camera is dead.

As the children did story time, the instructor had Nyla and one of the books they where reading was an alphabet book. The instructor used Nyla’s fingers to sign the letters of the alphabet. he was impressed as to how flexible her fingers where and how she didn’t resist and I told him that was because she was being taught signing.

After story time the session was over. At home Nyla had her lunch which consisted of spinach, chicken and scallop potatoes and we where off to see her Great Grandmother. She had a wonderful visit with Great Grandmother Ann and came home afterwards which concluded yet another productive day!
