Archives for the day Sunday, June 1st, 2008

Ok Ok so I have been slacking on the updates. Do forgive me. We have been caught up with this great weather we have been having AGAIN!!. It’s so easy to get a little lazy :-/. My apologies once again. I know mostly everyone is eager to know how Nyla is thriving. Well she officially knows all the movement to “If your happy and you know it clap your hands”. She went from just clapping her hands to stomping her feet and today with her cousin Marquel she did the part where you throw your arm in the air and shout hurray!! HURRAY for Nyla. She picks up everything pretty fast.

Just the other day as I was going over her number cards with her,she was actually trying to say the numbers. She managed to get a two and a three out and at the end of counting to five she began to clap. I know it’s so much to tell I’m just trying to cut down some of the time. Nyla is also slowly learning how to stack blocks. I say slowly cause every time she stacks one she pulls it apart and toss them lol. So we have to teach her how to continue to build upwards without being destructive although it’s all a learning process and takes time.

Nyla has been a busy little girl. We have been all over the place from romping in Central Park, to taking walks at the pier and having fun on the swings, slides and even the see saw thanks to her Auntie Andria being the other half we needed at the playground.

Today has particularly been a great day for her. She went to Stuyvesant Park to watch a puppet show called “Cinderella Simba”. Then she went to the 23rd street fair and wondered around the fair with her Auntie Mika and her cousin Marquel holding her hand while Mommy and Auntie Andria tagged along. After the fair Nyla danced and clapped her hands to the beat at Harlem’s African day fair at Marcus Garvey Park. After a long and exciting day Nyla ate dinner and whined down with some good ol milk and her classical cd that put her fast to sleep.

Nyla sends her love to all. God bless and be well!!!!!
