Today was quite an interesting day. At 16 months, Nyla is quite the self conscious little toddler. So Andria stopped by today and Nyla just had her pamper on. I didn’t know why once she walked to the entrance of the living room she began crying. I didn’t know what the problem was. Andria thought it was because of her presence but I told her that couldn’t be the case since Nyla has been around her often. So Nyla continued following me around the house even in the kitchen she refused to be exposed. I put some water in her cup and walked out of the kitchen area to see if she would follow. She looked outside the kitchen and seen that Andria was still in view and refused to leave the kitchen so I told My girlfriend Sakinah (I was on the phone with her) that I was gonna test something cause I just knew Nyla couldn’t be self conscious. Surely I put some shorts and a shirt on her and she freely walked out the kitchen. She followed me a bit then went right over to Andria. Hilarious!

So Jason came home and I told him what has occurred and he decided he wanted to see it for himself. So surely he stripped Nyla down to her pamper to see if she would leave the room and she did with hesitation. She hesitated all the way to the living room entrance and dropped down and tried to push herself back out of Andria’s view. Jason put clothes back on her and she freely roamed the living room. Now I’ve heard of toddlers becoming aware of themselves but I didn’t know it was as early as 16 month.

Aside from that, Nyla scribbled with some crayons today. I was truly happy to see that she no longer tries to eat the crayons. She has learned that crayons are for paper use (well OK she did scribbled on her dvd box as well) but at least she know crayons are to be used for activities and not as a snack. I will post her scribble piece as soon as the camera battery charges lol

Not much else went on today for lil Miss Nyla. We just recouped from the busy day we had yesterday. Nyla sends her love
